Byousoku 5 Centimeter - a chain of short stories about their distance.
I fell in love with this anime when I first saw an amv on youtube. Back then I'm not really interested in anime although I watch them. But the amv open up my mind to what animes really mean to me. So if you want to know what makes me fall for Byousoku 5 Centimeters, I can say it's just too good. The character designs was excellent, the story was amazing, the music was lovely, and the sky scenes was really soothing. It was like a dream yet it was very realistic. Every inch is detailed. Every scene spoke a thousand words. I never thought humans can make such graphics as good as that in Byousoku 5 Centimers and add the fact that I'm so into Romance/Slice of Life animes. Before I knew it, 5cm had suddenly grasps the very topmost spot in the most heart-whelming anime I've seen.
Byousoku 5 Centimeters consists of three parts. The first part entitled Okasho focused on how Takaki dealth with his feelings while away with Akari. Their deep feelings for each other kept them in contact. When Takaki's family decided to move out to Tokyo, he used it as his opportunity to go on his way to Tochigi and meet with Akari. However, on the day they are supposed to meet, there was a snowstorm that caused the train Takaki was boarding to be delayed for hours...
"One more time, One more chance", the movie's ending is sung by Masayoshi Yamazaki. This piece is a little gloomy but it fits the theme. Same with the main characters Takaki and Akari. The movie itself is extremely emotional and a straightforward drama. It was sad but I saw the the feelings and I was able to symphatize with the characters. Although there is no plot, I'm sure you'll still love it if you give it a try.
