It's amazing to see such an ordinary guy can move the hearts of many girls and unconsciously make them fall for him. It's a very common plot in some animes and yet we don't get tired seeing it. I, as one of those people, personally think that this kind of plot is a good way to make a wonderful anime. Something that you'd love and never forget that easily.

Take a look at the Da Capo Series. Junichi Asakura is just a simple guy who's not so smart, not so popular and not so handsome yet he managed to catch the hearts of the girls close to him including the school idol Kotori Shirakawa who has turned down all the smarter, more popular and more handsome guys that confessed to her.

It is proven in Da Capo Second Season episode 17 when Kotori admits her love for Junichi in front of Nemu and their friends. Then each of the girls suddenly confess their feelings for Junichi one by one. It's also the reason why they take care of him for the 2 years that Nemu is away for her study. Nemu understands them because of the fact Junichi is a very likable guy. And no one tries to break them apart as everyone knows Junichi sees Nemu as his only lover.



Another one is Keiichi Morisato from Ah My Goddess Series. Kind and smart Keiichi grew up with a heart of gold and is thought to be a good friend of nature. Even with all the misfortunes in his life, he was still so down-to-earth and is nice to everyone regardless of how they treat him or what they do. This makes first class, second category, unlimited license Belldandy loves him even though he's just an ordinary human. Other girls who have fallen for his kindhearted nature is Sayoko Mishima, a self-proclaimed campus queen and always seduce Keiichi to provoke Belldandy so she could bring her to her downfall, Skuld, Belldandy's youngest sister who's a mechanic freak and dislikes Keiichi because she believes he's making Belldandy stay on earth against her will, and Peorth, who like Belldandy is also a first class goddess second category with unlimited license. She was accidentally called up by Keiichi so she came down to earth to fulfill his one wish and eventually develops feelings towards him but Keiichi only loves Belldandy and stays true to her no matter what.


President of the Sciene Club Makoto Mizuhara from El Hazard is loved by many women because he actually uses his brain cells. He is respected by the priestesses and loved by his enterprising
classmate Nanami. Shayla-Shayla, the priestess of fire begins to have feelings for him after he saves her life.Same with the priestess of water Qawoor whom he also save and who calls him master and she harbors feeling for him. Makoto is also loved by an anceint demon god in the form of a sexy android whom he loves in return. In fact, he is very entralled into rescuing her so that they could be together.

Only in anime can we see this cool and yet weird turn of events. For simple-minded guys to be loved by many girls, priestesses and goddesses. And even a pet and an android for that matter... is what makes an anime wonderful in different ways. For animes makes things we thought impossible possible.
